The Board of Health is a 3-member volunteer board appointed by our Mayor who serve for a 3-year staggered term. The Board meets periodically with Health Department staff, creates health policy and regulations for the City, and holds hearings on matters of interest to the public and enforcement actions.

You may attend a monthly public meeting of the Board of Health. Check with the Health Department or City Clerk for time, location, and agenda.

The Board is the policy-arm of public health in the City while the Health Department is the boots-on-the-ground of public health. Staff include the Health Agent, Public Health Nurse, and Administrative Assistant.
