On June 3, 2020, in response to a national call to examine local police practices, Mayor Nicole LaChapelle signed the “Reimagining Policing Pledge.” Committing to review use of force policies, engage local communities, solicit and report feedback, the Mayor formed a work group to lead this community outreach. The charge of the work group is to develop recommendations for the reform of law enforcement practices in a final report this spring to the Mayor.
