FY 2020 Easthampton Community Development Fund Application
The City of Easthampton will conduct a Public Performance Hearing on January 29, 2019 at 6:00 PM at the Municipal Building, 50 Payson Avenue to discuss the city’s FY18 and FY19 Community Development Fund Programs. The City will follow the Performance Hearing with a Public Hearing regarding a proposed FY2020 Community Development Fund application. The application will be filed no later than March 6, 2020. The Pioneer Valley Planning Commission (PVPC) is assisting the city with administration of the FY18 and FY19 programs, and the FY20 application.
Residents are encouraged to attend the Performance Hearing to discuss the FY18 and FY19 programs which include infrastructure work in the Admiral Street Neighborhood (specifically, completed work on N. Hampshire Street, Olympia Street, and portions of Admiral and Clark Streets, and upcoming work on a portion of Maple Street). Residents are also encouraged to attend the Public Hearing to discuss the application to the MA Department of Housing and Community Development for up to $800,000 in available FY2020 Community Development Block Grant Funds. All persons with questions or comments regarding the grant application will have an opportunity to be heard. Projects currently being discussed to include in the FY2020 application include finalization of infrastructure improvements in the Admiral Street Neighborhood (Charles St), Housing Rehabilitation, and a Planning Study for the New City Neighborhood.
