Through funds appropriated by the Commonwealth's share of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, MGCC is administering two grant programs to continue to support small businesses negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Learn about the programs and decide which one is right for your business:
About the programs
The commonwealth of Massachusetts has made $75,000,000 available to support small business negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. These funds will be administered through two different grant programs, the New Applicant Grant Program and the Inclusive Grant Program.

The grant programs are similar to one another with the exception of who they aim to assist. Read about each program below to decide which would be the right one for your business.
NOTE: No business and/or business owner is eligible to receive more than one grant from these programs.
Application period
Both programs follow the same timeline:
February 23, 2022 - Applications Open
April 4, 2022 - Applications Close
GRANT AMOUNTS
Both programs will award grants ranging from:
$10,000 - $75,000
Eligible us of grant funds
Both programs have the same options:
- Employee payroll and benefits costs
- Interest on other debt obligations incurred after March 3, 2021
- Cost to pivot company due to COVID-19 pandemic
- Business mortgage or rent and utilities
